Wishing on this Wednesday…

Wishlist Wednesday is a book meme hosted by Pen to Paper Blog (a bookish blog you should totally check out) sharing books that you absolutely can’t wait to add to your shelf!
This month has been full of some really amazing releases so far. Like, there’s so many I’m completely lost on where to start on which one I want MOST. Curses!
But I think what I’m wishing on the most is . . .

ABOUT THIS BOOK: In his follow-up to the New York Times bestselling Every Day, David Levithan, co-author of bestsellers Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, tells the based-on-true-events story of Harry and Craig, two 17-year-olds who are about to take part in a 32-hour marathon of kissing to set a new Guinness World Record—all of which is narrated by a Greek Chorus of the generation of gay men lost to AIDS. While the two increasingly dehydrated and sleep-deprived boys are locking lips, they become a focal point in the lives of other teen boys dealing with languishing long-term relationships, coming out, navigating gender identity, and falling deeper into the digital rabbit hole of gay hookup sites—all while the kissing former couple tries to figure out their own feelings for each other.
I actually won this early September courtesy of Random House’s Random Buzzers (though I have yet to receive it.) At first, while the story sounded absolutely adorable, I never really been interested in it. But somehow, I found myself navigating my way through a ton of David Levithan books lately (Nick and Nora’s Ultimate Playlist; Everyday; Will Grayson, Will Grayson etc. etc.) I didn’t really notice Two Boys Kissing was among them, and I somehow managed to completely brushed past it. I never actually read any direct LGBT books on my shelf, so I’m really ecstatic to add this on to my collection. Just the story itself and what it’s based on sounds inspiring and sweet-hearted, and I can’t wait to read either!

What’s on your wishlist this Wednesday? Love to here them. (: Share in comments? Thank you!

Feature and Follow Friday!

I'm returning back with the fun meme Feature and Follow Friday hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkie! If you haven't checked out the meme, I strongly suggest you check it out here if you're a blogger here  it's a totally amazing way to connect with other awesome blogs, etc.

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

This week's question is:

Q: What book (or TV show or movie) have you not read that seemingly everyone else has?

SO MANY. I'm kind of slow on trends. But when it comes to TV shows, I don't really watch Pretty Little Liars (this is coming from a teen perspective). I know not everyone watches it, but majority of my friends have and all they do is fangirl about it. "WHO'S A?!"; "I WISH THEY'D JUST SAY WHO A IS?!" I never once touched the Pretty Little Liar series due to my own lack of interest, and I never really had much intent picking it up.

Ugh, and don't get me started on Insurgent from the Divergent trilogy. With the third book coming out this month (less than 20 days, oh gosh; let's not forget the movie either) I really, seriously need to get my hands on the second book so I can get all caught up on the series  my friend is asking me to specifically read the series just so we could fangirl about it afterwards. And the last big one I've heard a ton talk about is things like Doctor Who, Supernatural . . . I have yet to get into any of those shows. I know I really need to, and not so much for the sake of getting into the trends, but those two shows always sort of grabbed my interest and I never gave myself the chance to watch it.

Actually, when I think about it, there are a lot of things I need to catch up on.

Waiting and Wishing On . . . Eleanor and Park!

Wishlist Wednesday is a meme hosted by Pen to Paper book blog, and Waiting on Wednesday is also another book meme hosted by Breaking the Spine! Both wonderful, fun memes you should totally check out—especially if you’re a blogger or if you’re looking to find a good book worth reading!

So this week, my pick is . . .

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell!

Eleanor and Park fanart on Simini Blocker's Tumblr!
I recently finished Fangirl, and added it to among my favorites. I. Love. That. Book. To death, seriously. Fangirl set me on some fangirlish kick (what’s worse? I actually started writing a fanfiction about it), and I knew just from reading it, there was no denying that Rainbow Rowell’s story touched my heart—and I need to read more of her stories. I’ve heard a lot of buzz about E&P prior to reading Fangirl (which, BTW, was a glimmering NY times bestseller and had a fanastical review written by JOHN GREEN!) And with it not being long after Banned Books Week, I stumbled upon the news that E&P was apparently labeled as “dangerously obscene” by parents at Minnesota Anoka-Hennepin High School. You can read the post here and The Toast provides reasons why a book like E&P demands to be read by teenagers.

That settles it. Okay, now I know I need to read it. And who am I to deny the charm of star-crossed misfitted romances? I love them, and E&P just sounds perfect.

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, ELEANOR AND PARK is the story of two star-crossed misfits – smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love – and just how hard it pulled you under.

Find Eleanor and Park @

Goodreads / Barnes and Nobles / Amazon

So I’m seriously aching for this book, so keeping my fingers crossed I’ll be able to read it! What are you waiting on this week? Link me to your post below and I'll be sure to check out your blog!

Stacking the Shelves: Totally not a fangirl.

Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by the lovely Tygna's Reviews  sharing all the latest books I've added to my shelf, review books, and well--a whole lotta books.

This week, I purchased two new books
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Legend by Marie Lu!

I actually finished Fangirl this week, and I read really huge chunks of it in one sitting because yes, I loved it. That much. I've been dying to get this book ever since I heard of it, and I finally had it... my biggest regret was going through it so fast. I wanted to cherish the book while I could and I didn't really want the story to end...
Please don't tell me I'm the only one who thought of Tumblr when they saw Fangirl?
Pff, anyhow. You should really read this book; my review on Rowell's Fangirl is here! Or you could read my fanfiction of it . . . here.

The second book I purchased at my school's book fair, Legend by Marie Lu. I've been wanting to read this for a while, and I think reading a science-fictiony book would be a definite refresher to what I've been reading right now (pattern: contemporary, contemporary, ROMANCE, contemporary, ROMANCE). I'm getting total Maze Runner vibes, Hunger Games vibes, Divergenty vibes from this book and I think it'll really appeal to dystopian lovers. I like it (so far)!

Overall, really looking forward the both of them!
What did you add to your shelves this week?

Feature and Follow Friday: My Reading Nook Tour

This is my second time joining Alison Can Read and Parajunkee's lovely book meme Feature and Follow Friday. This week, I'll be sharing my favorite reading spots--so yay! My little reading nook *squee* I'm at my home, and living in a small town, there aren't too many of the coziest of reading places--especially considering we're on the brink of fall (and the Northeast isn't too kind when it comes to chillier seasons.)

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

I don't have too many pictures to offer (sadly) and I know my place is super obvious but here it is... the library. Obvious, obvious, obvious. Doh! Of all places, that's what I picked. But I love the quietness of the library, because I can never seem to get it at home (siblings, family and all); the backyard isn't exactly quieting so I always retreated to the library when-- of course, in need of a good book and some quiet to clear my thoughts. Utter perfection. Not to mention, as a teen volunteer there they have an amazing teen selection-- which is another reason for me to love this place.

So, hi! What's your favorite reading nook? Have a FF post? Please share!

With much love,

Bri

Stacking the Shelves with Sunday Post: and a *sadface*

Stacking the Shelves
This week, was a really sad week when it comes to my book haul pile. I didn't really buy anything, or borrow much,  or ask for books much which isn't too usual for me. I was really busy with school with week, so that definitely kept me on my toes. In spite of this, I at least do have a few exciting-ish books to share which I'm happy to start reading so-- yay!

Something borrowed . . .

Won . . .

*sadface* It just hasn't been a good week for books for me but hopefully things will get better. So, finger crossed! Totally pumped for the mystery and science fictiony-ness from my two latest books to my haul. They both seem equally amazing, and after All I Need, I seriously need a refresher and a good read.

Sunday PostAlso time for some bookish news, courtesy of the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! (which, by the way, you should be totally checking out her blog because it's amazing!) Eeyup, I'm talking about Sunday posts-- so, double yay!

So what has been the buzz on To The Moon and More this week?

Um, lots.

So last week, you missed . . .
Yeah, definitely a busy week-- probably the busiest I've ever been on this blog but I had a ton of things to say this week, and luckily, I have even more in store the next!

And lastly, I recently discovered a newest NEW book meme, at The Sirenic Codex (another equally amazing blog which you should check out!) Already swamped in memes, but I thought it definitely deserved a mention here. Check it out!

Coming soon to Moon and More...
Reviews on
and we're
on the set with...
(pssst... the Fault in Our Stars... Okay? And more book-to-movie adaption news on your bookish favorites!)

Okay... and well, so much more! Have to keep my lips sealed, can't spill too much, right?
Super excited to talk about these books + movies, and if you can't tell already, I am REALLY excited.

I just want to thank everyone who took the time to visit my blog this week, followed, commented--everything. I appreciate it so much, and I always have more and store. In the meantime, time to go back to making a cup of tea and find another book to delve into!

From one reader to another
with much love,

Feature and Follow Friday: Childhood Favorites

I found another meme, guys!

This time: Feature and Follow Friday hosted by two book blogs, Alison Can Read and Parajunkee. Today, I will be answering:

Q: What were some of your favorite picture books as a kid? If you have kids, what are your favorites to read to them?

I can hardly remember most of the books I read when I was little, but I did know I enjoyed them... but I can pick out a few books from memory I think. When I was little, I was in love with Kevin Henkes books on his 'mouse series'. I always seemed to love everything he wrote but out of them all, I was just most fascinated by the story of Chrysanthemum.
Not long after reading, it easily became one of my favorite books. Other Kevin Henkes books I really, really loved:

Argh, and Dr. Seuss! Absolutely loved his books too. When it came to Dr. Seuss, I don't think I ever had a particular favorite-- I just loved practically every single one of them. My favoritest among the favorites have to be The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and Oh, The Places You'll Go!

Others I really loved...
What are your favorite picture books as a kid?

Waiting on Wednesday: Eye of Minds!

So this week it's...

hosted by Breaking The Spine & Pen To Paper's Wishlist Wednesday

Untold (The Lynburn Legacy, #2)
This Wednesday, I am waiting on my copy of Untold from The Lynburn Legacy Series which is one of my first ARC copies I ever received courtesy of RandomHouse. *squee* I cannot wait to give a review on that, so that will definitely be posted soon. Totally wishing on...

Aaaah! I loved Dashner's The Maze Runner so I'm super happy to see the start of the new Mortality Doctrine series. I read a sample of Eye of Minds here, and needless to say, I became hooked just from that sampler. Annnnd... the trailer seemed to have me even more hyped for it. I definitely have some books to catch up on this fall. Which, psst, this book doesn't come out until October 8th.

From Amazon, The Eye of Minds is the first book in The Mortality Doctrine, a series set in a world of hyperadvanced technology, cyberterrorists, and gaming beyond your wildest dreams . . . and your worst nightmares.

Michael is a gamer. And like most gamers, he almost spends more time on the VirtNet than in the actual world. The VirtNet offers total mind and body immersion, and it’s addictive. Thanks to technology, anyone with enough money can experience fantasy worlds, risk their life without the chance of death, or just hang around with Virt-friends. And the more hacking skills you have, the more fun. Why bother following the rules when most of them are dumb, anyway?

But some rules were made for a reason. Some technology is too dangerous to fool with. And recent reports claim that one gamer is going beyond what any gamer has done before: he’s holding players hostage inside the VirtNet. The effects are horrific—the hostages have all been declared brain-dead. Yet the gamer’s motives are a mystery.

The government knows that to catch a hacker, you need a hacker.

And they’ve been watching Michael. They want him on their team. But the risk is enormous. If he accepts their challenge, Michael will need to go off the VirtNet grid. There are back alleys and corners in the system human eyes have never seen and predators he can’t even fathom—and there’s the possibility that the line between game and reality will be blurred forever.

BTW, you should totally check out this cool Eye of Minds trailer!

Top Ten Tuesday: IT'S a FANGIRLCEPTION!!

DUN DUN DUN. It's time for...
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme started by The Broke and the Bookish book blog! This week: I'll be listing the top ten books on my Fall TBR list. For me, it is many but while I'm highly doubtful I'll get to every one of these but I'll provide summaries to my top three and list the other seven below. Super excited,  this is my first time doing this meme; that, and I am also really excited for getting them, too! *squee* Me at the moment:

*cue drum roll*...

1. FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell
Talk about obsession. I am like fangirling over this book which is about a fangirl fangirling and-- okay, it's like a freaking FANGIRLCEPTION happening--anyways, I really want this book. I've been seeing it buzz a lot on the blogesphere since it's September 10th release (yes!) and I always really wanted to give a Rainbow Lowell book a try since drooling over Eleanor & Park. Bah. Just get me this. Like, now please. To those curious to what's it all about:

16068905

Straight from Rainbow Lowell's website. . .
Cath is a Simon Snow fan.
Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan . . .
But for Cath, being a fan is her life — and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving.
Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fanfiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.
Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to.
Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She’s got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fanfiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words . . . And she can’t stop worrying about her dad, who’s loving and fragile and has never really been alone.
For Cath, the question is: Can she do this?
Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? Writing her own stories?
And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?

2. ALLEGIANT  by Veronica Roth
Um, hello-o. Divergent. Insurgent. An amazing series so far, so it's a definite yes, yes, YES to this one! OCTOBER 22. OCTOBER 22. YAY.
10616322
From Goodreads, One choice will define you.
What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

3. CHAOS OF STARS by Kiersten White
I loved Kiersten White's Paranormalcy series, so I have super high hopes for reading Chaos of Stars. I've heard some mixed reviews on it so far, and I'm honestly trying to not let it deter me from reading-- because, well... look at that gorgeous cover! Plus, Egyptian mythology + YA + romance = love.

12578305
From GoodreadsIsadora’s family is seriously screwed up.
Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.

Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

4. JUST ONE DAY by Gayle Forman! I really should be getting onto Just One Year, but I'm kind of backed up with books and never had the opportunity to read Just One Day. Absolutely loved Forman's If I Stay and it's sequel, so I'd really love to get reading on this one so I can finally get my hands on Just One Year. *squee*

5. THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING by Robyn Schnider! Really get a whole Perks of Being a Wallflower theme from this book and actually after hearing it compared to it so many times (being a Perks fan) I decided I really wanna get this book, too! Sounds like fun.

6. HERO by Perry Moore! TEENAGE SUPERHEROES ALL WRAPPED IN A YA BOOK WITH A TWIST?! Um, yes please. 'Nough said. Big superhero fan here, so this is another definite must on my list.

16101126
7. THE MOON AND MORE by Sarah Dessen! It was never one of my big priorities to read this book, and maybe if it weren't for Sarah Dessen I wouldn't be as interested. But what can I say? I am susceptible to all the charm of all that is Desseny novels, so I had to squeeze this onto my list somewhere...

8. WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON by David Levithan and John Green! I've been one some sort of John Green kick lately, and I actually never read a David Levithan book but I have seen him collab with a lot of popular authors. Plus, while it isn't on my top ten, I always wanted to read David's Everyday but something about the fact that these two amazing authors are collabing together on this alone makes me want to read it. Plus!-- it has a really amusing beginning. Kinda hard not to give into the charm of books like these.

9. SAILOR MOON: Volume 2 by Naoko Takeuchi! Who said it all had to be about YA? :P Little people know about how much I love my manga. Sailor Moon used to be one of my favorite shows and the first real anime I actually watched, and probably the first thing I ever fangirled for. Anywho, the first volume of Sailor Moon brought on some serious nostalgia so I just can't wait to get onto the second volume.

10. THE INFINITE MOMENT OF US by Lauren Myracle! I often say I try not to be discouraged by reviews but in this instance, I sort of... am? I don't want to be though. But the reviews on this are really less than impressive (3 star average?!! Nuh-uh) is really discouraging. Regardless, I'm still really willing to give it a try.

So there are my picks! What do you think?
What books are on your top ten?
